About the Role
Queen Mary Maternity has created a community outreach service to provide care for women who have been unsuccessful in finding an LMC. The service is provided Monday through to Friday 8.00-16.30 pm with some weekend work according to need. You will work as part of a team of midwives who provide hospital and community based services to pregnant and post- partum women from the greater Dunedin area. Referrals come from inpatient areas, private providers and primary care. We have a women-centered approach to our care and you will be making a real difference to the patient experience. This outreach midwife role would suit a Registered Midwife who knows how to work as part of a team and who enjoys getting involved in a variety of tasks to ensure we can provide the very best care is provided at all times.
To be considered for this role you will need to:
• Be a Registered Midwife
• Hold a current annual practicing certificate for New Zealand
• Have excellent communication and the ability to easily build rapport with people from all walks of life
• Be passionate about midwifery and have a real desire to provide the best care possible

About the Queen Mary Maternity Team
We consider ourselves to be very fortunate here at the Queen Mary Maternity Unit. Not only do we get to care for fabulous women and families from all across our diverse region, we also get to work alongside kind, compassionate, dedicated midwives and other health professionals to provide a safe and positive birthing experience.
Each year we birth around 1,800 babies and work closely with the midwifery and medical schools to give the kind of care our patients deserve.
