Southern DHB Te Punaka Oraka: Public Health Nursing- Provides Child & Youth, Well Health Services within the community context including schools, preschools, before school checks, home visiting, rural sexual health and contraceptive clinics, and immunisation programs. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the South Otago team.
We are looking for an amazing New Zealand Registered Nurse with relevant clinical experience, an interest and passion for children, youth and their whānau wellbeing within a strengths based health promotion context, to join this team based in Balclutha.
Experience and understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi/ Māori health, equity and disparities are essential, as will be your highly developed communication skills with the ability and passion to work with a diverse range of children young people and their family’s whānau. A background in community health, child youth health and or mental health would also be an advantage.
You will be open minded, quality driven, and have the ability to work both independently while being a valued member of a supportive, friendly team. It goes without saying that you will be computer literate, and have a full clean driver’s license. It will be a strong advantage if you have any of the following credentials: vaccinator training, family planning and or post graduate education.
