Physiotherapist – Pain Service and Physiotherapy Outpatient Clinic
- Specialised pain management experience or an enthusiasm to develop skills in pain physiotherapy
- Permanent, part-time (28 hours per week) or full time, there is some flexibility with work hours
- This role offers an excellent opportunity for a physiotherapist with a minimum of two years of experience with a keen interest in developing their skills and knowledge in the field of persistent pain management OR for a physiotherapist with specialised pain management experience to join our pain service team of experienced health professionals. It is desirable to have clinical experience in rehabilitation and/or musculoskeletal; management of back pain and/or persisting pelvic pain.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic team-player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is able to engage with patients from a range of age groups and cultural backgrounds and work in partnership with them in one-on-one sessions and in a group setting. An appreciation of social-psychological-biomedical factors which contribute to persisting pain conditions. There is an expectation to work collaboratively with the pain service team and liaise appropriately with relevant health care professionals and external organisations.
You will have the opportunity to drive quality improvement and service development initiatives while working alongside a committed team of health professionals. There is an expectation to contribute to innovative ways of working including using of technologies to support clinical practice and patient care.
This role requires a functional rehabilitation approach to provide individualised, patient-centred outcomes which facilitates pain self-management. As a valued member of our team, you will work alongside medical, nursing, clinical psychology, occupational therapy and physiotherapy colleagues performing multidisciplinary pain assessments, having your own outpatient caseload, and contributing to pain education groups and exercise sessions.
