Clinical Editor - Southern HealthPathways
Dunedin or Southland Hospital
Fixed term, 0.4FTE
The HealthPathways Programme emphasises that “it’s about people” and a key measure of success at every point in the system includes reducing the time patients wait.
HealthPathways provides a framework that allows us to realign the way we work within the health sector, creating systems that support integration and efficiency, and standardisation of care across and within care settings for a better and successful patient journey.
We have a 16 hours per week (0.4FTE) fixed term vacancy available to start immediately until early 2021. In this role you will be responsible for making some changes to the way we develop and localise HealthPathways. It is a role that has variety with no two days being the same, you could be meeting with SMEs, editing pathways, liaising with technical writers, facilitating a workshop or clearing emails and always juggling multiple pieces of work across a number of specialities.
As a Clinical Editor you will be pivotal in supporting fully integrated clinical networks across our Southern Health system. You will be a systems thinker who is able to decipher what is meaningful and useful for the system from a myriad of information. Using your extensive clinical knowledge and expertise, you will work alongside subject matter experts to ascertain what content is relevant for Southern HealthPathways, and make the pathways appropriate for a local general practice and community audience.
There is some flexibility in regards to your set days of work. To be eligible to apply for this role you must be a health professional holding a current APC, such as Practice Nurse, Allied Health Professional, or a General Practitioner.
