About the Team
As a Public Health Service, we are undergoing an exciting transformational change working collaboratively with our partners and using health in all policies approaches to address the determinants of health and reduce inequities and improve the health and wellbeing of our Southern communities where they live, learn, work and play.

About you
You will be committed to the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi and be actively engaging with the Māori community and stakeholders, and able to apply Te Pae Mahutonga in your work. 

You will bring your experience and skills in building productive relationships with partners, understanding communities’ needs, and developing innovative population-based programmes.

You will be experienced in programme using, planning methodology and evaluation to demonstrate the impact and outcomes of our work. You will be highly motivated, innovative and able to work independently. You will be committed to embedding an equity focus in all programmes.

It is essential that you have a relevant tertiary qualification in public health and be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, and have excellent facilitation skills. You will be skilled at using the Microsoft suite, MS Teams and Sharepoint.

A good knowledge of and strong links to the wider Queenstown-Lakes and Central Otago communities will be an advantage. Experience working within settings-based health promotion in particular with a stakeholder / policy focus is essential. It is important that you work as a valued team member and are able to travel throughout Queenstown-Lakes / Central Otago and hold a full clean drivers licence.
 
Due to the ongoing service wide Public Health Covid19 response, a proven ability to work under pressure is essential.
