Our Emergency Department at Southland Hospital has an exciting opportunity for you to make your mark. We are inviting applications from highly motivated and experienced senior nursing staff to join our friendly team on a casual ‘as and when required’ basis as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator.
About the Role – what’s in it for me?
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will coordinate and support the clinical teams in our Emergency Department – encompassing service delivery, clinical leadership and staff direction to ensure the provision of safe patient care. You will support the Charge Nurse Manager in providing clinical co-ordination and nursing leadership within the Emergency Department at Southland Hospital. This position will provide the appointee with the opportunity to manage the clinical environment, facilitate staff development and at the same time enhance management skills.
Our focus is on effective leadership qualities and demonstrating positive behaviours in line with the SDHB values. Being able to make quick sound decisions and being supportive within the whole team environment is essential.
The successful applicant must have extensive clinical experience in the Emergency setting and current certification relevant to Trauma Nursing and Advanced Life Support. Additional key attributes for these roles include having a dynamic personality; being resourceful and calm with great communication and time management/prioritisation skills.
We are looking for a positive and confident registered nurse who has the drive and enthusiasm to motivate staff and engage them in their clinical development; you will be a respected professional in your own right, and an exceptional team member with strong communication skills.
