About You / About the Role

We are looking for a suitably qualified Mental Health Professional to fill this role working with children and adolescents (and their families), with mental health difficulties. If and you’re passionate about young people with an unwavering belief in people’s recovery - then you might just be the one for us! 

You’ll work with a broad-based generic caseload, utilising your mental health skills providing excellent assessment and intervention.  As someone committed to the MDT approach with a focus on excellent service delivery, you’ll also appreciate that we offer ongoing tailored professional development specific to our Mental Health team. Naturally you’ll have the ability to work under pressure as a team player committed to excellence in service delivery.   

 

Ideally you will have experience in working with children and adolescent in a mental health setting, however if you have an interest in this area we would also like to hear from you.

You must be a Registered Health Professional, with a current APC - Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist keen to work within the mental health sector, be eligible to live and work in New Zealand and hold a current NZ Drivers licence.

You may be required to be part of the Southern Rivers Community Mental Health Team on call roster progressing to Duly Authorised Officer status.
