About the opportunity
Do you enjoy the pace of bulk recruitment? Do you have patience and can stay calm under pressure?
This is a busy position that will allow you to use your organisation, process management and interpersonal skills to help make a real difference to the health of our communities. You’ll be involved in placing junior doctors into roles from Trainee Interns and House officers through to Registrars, under the umbrella of RMO (resident medical officer) recruitment.
As part of our recruitment team, you will be focused on sourcing resident doctors from within New Zealand and internationally, whilst working side by side with an experienced team of recruiters. Your mission? To help us make great hiring decisions as efficiently as possible and give our prospective candidates a great experience as they consider joining us here at Southern in the next stage of their medical careers.
Our ideal applicant
We’re looking for our process driven, administrative super star! Who can always find their way around a problem, who has a logical approach but isn’t scared to ask questions and uses initiative, and is ideally interested in sourcing and recruitment.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the Southern DHB recruitment processes are always followed including monitoring and following the progress of candidate’s through their Medical Council New Zealand and DHB legal requirements, whilst ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. The ability to build rapport and trust with potential and new employees will ensure we are making progress in this key area of recruitment for our future talent pipeline of doctors.
