As you may be aware, the current Charge Nurse Manager of the Catheter Laboratory will be leaving the DHB. We are therefore looking for a senior nurse to take on an acting role in a fixed term capacity whilst we undertake a service delivery and improvement review.

About the Role
The department supports all aspects of Cardiology medicine practice. The Dunedin Cath Lab provides acute and elective cardiac care for Southland and Otago, and is the Cardiac referral centre for five smaller hospitals.

This position is part-time, 0.8FTE (32 hrs per week/the exact hours to be negotiated) Monday to Friday, and is paid at Grade 6 on the NZNO Senior Nursing scale.
About You
This is a demanding and challenging role where the successful applicant will demonstrate sound professional judgement, strong leadership skills and a clear commitment to high quality care and the development of the service. Key to your success in this position will be your ability to lead effective teams. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate relevant experience and knowledge of patient safety, budgeting and staff management. The ability to think outside the square and to communicate and influence across a range of providers is an absolute must.
You’ll be a senior Registered Nurse with significant experience and a current NZ APC. Your proven success in nursing leadership will be complemented by your knowledge of, and experience in, clinical quality, safety and best practice.
