Dunedin Hospital

  • 12 month fixed term position supporting the New Dunedin Hospital programme of work
  • Rare and exciting opportunity to be involved in Digital Transformation of our health care system
  • Flexible working environment within a supportive and friendly team

About the opportunity

Digital transformation is an important enabler of, and contributor to, the establishment of the new Dunedin Hospital and transformation of the entire southern health system.  Our new hospital will be a digitally-enabled facility and support new and emerging technologies that improve patient and staff experience.  Although the new Dunedin Hospital will reuse and extend some existing ICT systems from the current facility, the new facility is also a catalyst for innovation and implementation of new and enhanced health systems and technologies across the district.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join us on a full time, fixed term basis for 12 months to support the new Dunedin hospital’s digital detailed business case. This position will be responsible for maintaining a collaborative shared services approach across the DHB for the Procurement function.

About you

You will be a highly experienced Procurement professional, ideally within the NZ Public Sector and/or the health context.  A Project Management or CIPS qualification would be considered advantageous.

In this role, you will be expected to maintain a strategic approach to sourcing activities, develop and deliver procurement projects, negotiate exceptional outcomes, and be active in contract and supplier management activities.

Personally, you will be a team player, well organised, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, high levels of integrity and the ability to maintain a customer focused approach.

If you have the requisite skills and experience to succeed in this role, we would love to hear from you!

Closing Date: Friday 5th March 2021
