Planning on training in Emergency Medicine? Want to experience life in a hospital front line? Still not sure about a career choice but would love to try out working in an ED?
We are seeking expressions of interest from House Officers and Senior House Officers keen on working in the Dunedin Hospital ED during the 2018/2019 training year.
With 3 and 6 month rotations available alongside other fantastic specialty and sub-specialty runs, why not stay for the year? Whether you have already decided on a career or are still weighing up the options, time in our ED will provide you with an excellent experience in which to springboard from into the vocational training of your choice.
Teaching and training is important to us here in Dunedin and that is why our ED RMOs have a protected session every Tuesday am. In addition, there are a number of other regular activities that House Officers can join in on. Whether it is the regular House Officer education sessions or the journal clubs, Xray meetings or rounds from the various services; there is always something happening.
Successful candidates will have a minimum of one year post graduate medical experience.
