Clinical Nurse Specialist – Palliative Care Advisory Service/ CNS Development Role
- Permanent, Full-Time 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)
Our Palliative Care Advisory Service works alongside the clinical, nursing and allied health teams to provide a DHB wide consultative service. This is an opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Palliative Care or for a Registered Nurse with a background in Palliative Care who is interested in developing into a CNS role.
This position is an exciting opportunity to join a team committed to best possible palliative care delivery to patients and their families/whanau in the hospital setting. The team works alongside the clinical teams to support their knowledge development in delivering palliative and end of life care. Facets of this role include direct patient assessment, clinical consultations, formal and informal education and participating in our quality programme.
We are looking for someone who is able to work autonomously and collaboratively. If you are interested in the CNS role you will have extensive post registration experience, preferably within palliative care. If you are interested in the Registered Nurse development role, ideally you will have commenced post graduate studies in palliative care or be prepared to start.
