Administration Officer/Reception– Ear, Nose and Throat Service (ENT)

Dunedin Hospital


  • Full time, permanent
  • 1.0 FTE (40 Hours per week)


If you enjoy working in a fast paced and busy environment then this role could be what you are looking for. Our Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) department requires an administration superstar to hit the ground running and work hard to ensure the department’s administrative needs are met. As part of this role you’ll be carrying out administrative and reception duties and be providing essential support for the department’s medical staff. Your main duties will include processing new patient referrals, liaising with referring professions, maintaining the acute bookings whilst providing a variety of administrative support to the department.


To be successful in this very busy role you will be the kind of person who is flexible, adaptable, robust and can cope with conflicting priorities and interruptions. You’ll have a friendly and welcoming nature and be comfortable interacting with patients both in person and on the phone. As an experienced administrator you will also be skilled at juggling multiple priorities and able to remain calm under pressure. The ability to handle confidential patient information discreetly absolute requirement.


This role will also include adhoc administrative support to the Ophthalmology Service.


The salary range for this position is from $35,792 to $42,108 per annum and will be based on qualifications and relevant experience.
