The Southern DHB Population Health service is now on the look-out for a standout new member to join their Te Punaka Oraka - Public Health Nursing team.
To fill this role we are looking for someone special. Your passion lies in making a difference in the lives of children, young people and their families/whanau, within the context of preschools, schools, home and community. Key attributes include; acceptance of diversity, a broad non-judgemental world view and an ability to show initiative. We are looking for a nurse who has a strengths based approach to holistic health, alongside an intent to improve health outcomes for children, youth and their families/whanau.
A demonstration of the Southern DHB values of Kind - Manaakitanga, Open - Pono, Positive - Whaiwhakaaro, Community - Whanaungatanga will be essential in our preferred candidate. In addition to this, is the ability to work autonomously while still being part of a supportive and dynamic district wide team.
Together, we offer school and preschool visiting, child and youth health assessment, access to services, early intervention and referrals, coordinated health care, before school checks, youth health and some sexual health services.
