RMO Advisor – RMO Unit

- Permanent Vacancy – 0.9 FTE (36 Hours per week)
The Southern DHB Resident Medical Officers (RMO) Unit operates across the Otago and Southland region, with three staff based in our Southland office, each responsible for a number of activities and tasks across the spectrum of RMO activities.
You’ll be involved in the facilitation of rosters and other tasks such as leave management and the coordination of short notice cover for a group of RMOs currently working in the hospital. In addition you will also support the wider RMO Team with general day to day administration duties.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be resilient and have excellent communication skills with the ability to develop good interpersonal relationships with a variety of people. You’ll be able to deal with conflict effectively and in a professional manner, and work well under pressure, remaining calm at all times. You’ll have a proven record of working in a high pressured environment where demands, tasks and priorities are continuously changing. You’ll also be adept at prioritising and a well-practiced multi-tasker who is able to problem solve and make definitive decisions. Whilst you will work autonomously it is essential that you are a strong team player who has a flexible attitude to their work.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone to bring their existing complementary skillset, their nouse for working in a large and complex organisation and while it would be great to if you have knowledge of the inner workings of a busy hospital, candidates from both inside and outside the organisation will be considered.
