Health Promotion Advisor
- Full time (37.5 hours per week)
Are you an individual who is passionate about health and familiar with the challenges faced by people trying to improve and increase control over their health?
This role focuses on Alcohol and Smokefree initiatives. As such, we are looking for someone with experience working in a legislative framework, knowledge and/or experience of the sale and supply of alcohol legislation and knowledge of the Smokefree environments Act (SEA). Experience in regulatory work would be an advantage.
We require a person who has an understanding of regulatory frameworks and can prepare and report on liquor licenses within a specific time frame. You will also be required to contribute to preparation for hearings as required. An ability to support the development of alcohol or Smokefree polices would also be an advantage.
Naturally you will be used to working autonomously, have an innovative approach and have familiarity with project development and implementation. You’ll have expertise in managing relationships both internally and in the wider community, including stakeholders and NGOs. A good knowledge of, and strong links to, the local Invercargill and wider Southland community is required for this role.
Experience in health promotion is essential to be considered for this role. You’ll need to be an experienced presenter; with outstanding communication skills including strong report writing skills. It is important that you work as a valued team member and be able to travel throughout the district. It is essential that you hold a full clean driver’s license.
This is a full time (37.5) hours per week based in our Invercargill office.
