Administration Officer – Queen Mary Maternity Unit
The team at Queen Mary Maternity are on the lookout for a team player with excellent people skills, a sound Administrative skill set and a vibrant personality to slot into our close-knit team on a casual basis.
In this role you will be responsible for providing administration support to our wider team of Midwives and Doctors alongside dedicated clerical support to the Charge Midwife Manager. As the first point of contact for patients and staff from within the Hospital you’ll understand the importance of customer service and kindness to the community we serve.
Your administrative tasks will include checking patients in as they arrive for appointments, database maintenance, loading referrals, making appointments and ensuring all patients’ medical records are available and prepared correctly for outpatient clinics. You will also be required to take and type staff meeting minutes and undertake general administration tasks for the Charge Midwife manager when required.
You’ll be a person who is a natural team player with exceptional communication skills. Excellent computer skills are essential, either with the ability to quickly pick up DHB databases or previous experience using iPM.
Our service runs 7 days a week, 0800-2030 Monday to Friday and 0900-1430 at weekends, as such our Administration Team work rostered shifts. You will be called upon to cover shifts across these hours.
