Registered Nurse – Ward 4A, General Surgery

To join our supportive, multidisciplinary team you will need to be a team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude who strives for excellence and high quality in their work. You will also have a minimum of 1 year of recent experience working on a surgical ward. Experience working in an HDU is desirable.
Ward 4A is a 24 bed General Surgery ward, with an additional four bed High Dependency Unit attached. Ward 4A specializes in upper & lower GI and colorectal Surgery. The ward provides for both elective and acute surgical admissions.
You will be provided with a first-rate orientation and an ongoing in-service education programme, along with opportunities for undertaking post grad education. The work is varied and interesting and you will have many opportunities to develop professionally. The hours of work are rostered and rotating shifts, Monday to Sunday.
You will need to be registered in accordance with the Health Practitioner Competency Act 2003 as a New Zealand Registered Nurse and hold a current Practising Certificate.
