Charge Nurse Manager – Perioperative Department

Applications are invited from senior registered nurses with significant perioperative nursing experience to lead our Perioperative team as a Charge Nurse Manager. Your proven success in nursing leadership will be complemented by your knowledge of, and experience in, clinical quality, safety and best practice.
Southland Hospital is a secondary care facility and we are proud of our perioperative service, which incorporates 4 operating theatres, Day Surgery and endoscopy. Our theatres provide elective and acute surgery with specialties that include Orthopaedic, General Surgery, Urology, ENT, Bariatric, Ophthalmology, Maxillofacial, Plastics and Paediatric Surgery. Reporting to the Service Manager, Surgical, and strongly supported by a tight knit team, you’ll foster a culture within the unit that continues to strive for excellence in clinical services. Key accountabilities of this role include; strategic leadership, staff education, development and recruitment, along with financial management, production planning, report writing, quality and risk management. Operationally, you will turn your hand to supervision, mentoring and developing relationships through close liaison with other services both internal and external.
