Invercargill Community Mental Health Team/Forensic Mental Health Team
The Social Worker role with the Invercargill Community Mental Health Team and Forensic Mental Health Team provides comprehensive assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and monitoring of people identified as having moderate to severe mental illness and associated psychosocial issues. This role is divided (0.5FTE/0.5FTE) between the Invercargill Community Mental Health Team and Forensic Mental Health Team. It is an essential part of our multi-disciplinary team and provides expert knowledge skills and input to the care team. In this role you will work with and have the support of our multidisciplinary teams and will also work collaboratively with our partners in the health, NGO, criminal justice and corrections services etc.
You’ll bring to this role previous experience in a mental health social work position, ideally in community, and have excellent communication and time management skills. You will be a team player and will demonstrate commitment and innovation in your work.
To be considered for the role you should have social work registration with the New Zealand Social Work Registration Board (SWRB), or be eligible for registration and undertake to complete this within 3 months of appointment. You should also have a current, clean driver license.
