South Island Bowel Screening Regional Centre Project Manager – National Bowel Screening Programme

Southern DHB has an opportunity for a Project Manager to lead the implementation and ongoing management of the National Bowel Screening Regional Centre for the South Island, initially on a two year fixed term.
This is an exciting new role hosted by Southern DHB to assist with the implementation of population bowel screening in Southern DHB and then act as a resource for all other South Island DHB’s as they introduce the Programme in their districts. The role will is pivotal for the successful implementation and ongoing management of Bowel Screening in Southern DHB and the whole of the South Island.
The role sits within and is supported by the Medical Directorate in the hospital structure but the impact of the Programme will be seen across the whole healthcare sector across the South Island. You will be working alongside the Bowel Screening Regional Centre Clinical Leader, project leads at each DHB, the Ministry of Health, clinical staff and PHO’s across the South Island. The role will require travel across the South Island when needed.
To be considered for this role you must have previous demonstrable experience with Project or Programme Management. You will have strong leadership and management skills with the capability of managing a diverse team at a senior level.
You will be an outstanding communicator (written & verbal) with excellent relationship and stakeholder management experience.
