Casual Registered Nurse - Oncology/Haematology Outpatients
We are looking to recruit a Registered Nurse within our Southern Blood & Cancer Service. This role is on a casual basis and has no fixed hours therefore a degree of flexibility is required. You may be required to work in the outpatient or inpatient setting however the role is primarily based in outpatients.
A Registered Nurse of this service will be responsible for the care of medical oncology, radiation oncology and haematology patients receiving chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
Some of the key nursing tasks performed within the service are: patient assessment; symptom control and management; nurse led ‘on treatment’ clinics; patient education; psychosocial assessment and support, administration of chemotherapy and associated supportive therapies or procedures.

To be considered for the role you will have registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a registered nurse with a current practising certificate. Experience in Oncology/Haematology and/or recent acute nursing is required.
