This position will be part of an eight person roster with exposure to acute Obstetrics and Gynaecology, clinics and elective surgery. This role partakes in the after-hours roster but will be supported by SMO. There are eight full time registrar positions and three PGY2 house officers working in teams with ten consultants
Dunedin Hospital is a tertiary training centre with five full time O&G registrar Training Positions.
There are opportunities for supported research and audit and participation in weekly teaching sessions as well as the NZ Diploma or RANZCOG Certificate qualification.
Dunedin is a university city ideally placed in close proximity to water and outdoor recreation facilities and Southern National Parks.
Experience and Eligibility
- Previous experience in O&G is essential. Extensive opportunities to further develop skills for ITP application.
- Suitable for PGY3 and above Resident Medical Officers with at least 6 months previous O&G experience
