Unit Manager, Allied Health and Care Coordination Centre (CCC) Southland
Southland Hospital, Invercargill
- Fulltime or part-time position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced health professional to manage our Allied Health Unit (AHU) and Care Coordination Centre here at Southland Hospital, developing the team while focusing on the key accountabilities of operational leadership, service planning, quality and risk management, and financial performance. A background experience in Allied Health is highly desirable.
While this is currently a fulltime role, consideration would be given to split the position into two 0.5 FTE roles dependant on the applicants.
You will be primarily responsible for the day to day operational management of Allied Health and the Care Coordination Centre, leading and enabling the team to achieve timely and appropriate service outcomes, and working in partnership with Professional Leaders for accreditation, clinical pathway development and service improvements.
The nature of our organisational structure and the range of vocations within Allied Health brings inherent challenges, so we’re focused on finding someone highly organised with great interpersonal skills who will work alongside others to inspire and motivate to get the job done. In your application for this role please address how you meet the role specific competencies as described in the position description.
This key position really has it all – staffing, finances, day to day operations and service enhancements, and for the right person with the right set of skills and aspirations, we’ll negotiate a salary package and hours to suit. You may be a clinician with some management/coordination experience wanting to step into a clear fulltime management role, or you may wish to undertake the part-time option while still maintaining a clinical load. Either way, talk with us further to explore your options.
Closing Date: Sunday, 3 December 2017
