Social Worker - Child, Adolescent and Family Service (CAFS) (Mental Health)

Southland Hospital

We need a suitably qualified and experienced Social Worker to fill this role working with children and adolescents (and their families), with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.  If you have experience in the provision of mental health therapeutic interventions on an individual or group basis, and you’re passionate with an unwavering belief in people’s recovery - then you might just be the one for us! 


Joining our multi-disciplinary team of Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Registered Nurses and Occupational Therapists, you’ll work with a broad-based generic caseload, utilising your mental health experience with excellent assessment and intervention skills.  As someone committed to the MDT approach with a focus on excellent service delivery, you’ll also appreciate that we offer ongoing tailored professional development specific to our Mental Health team.


To be considered for this role you must be a Registered (or eligible for Registration) with the Social Workers Registration Board of New Zealand, with experience in the provision of mental health therapeutic interventions on an individual or group basis.
