Nurse Educator – Ward 8 Med

Dunedin Hospital

 

  • Part-Time (0.6 FTE) – 24 Hours per week
  • Permanent role

 

Our Medical Ward at Dunedin Hospital is looking for a Nurse Educator to join their team. 

 

This is a diverse role, within a busy Medical ward which has Gastroenterology patients and also encompasses the Stroke Unit.  A multi-faceted position where no two days are ever the same, you’ll be working through a strategic plan to deliver education to upwards of 70 staff members.  Your encouragement of on-going nursing development will see you arranging and presenting education, providing one to one bed side teachings, tutorials, coordinating orientations and students. 

 

The successful candidate will be a Senior RN with advanced assessment and resuscitation skills.  You will have exceptional communication skills, and the ability to present and teach to a range of different learning styles.  As a skilled practitioner, you will keep abreast of developments in the relevant areas of nursing with the ability to change and adapt your teaching /polices/ practice dependent on evidence based practice.
