Registered Nurse -

Rehabilitation Services – (6 AT&R Dunedin Hospital / Under 65 Rehabilitation Wakari Hospital)


  • Permanent Part-time – 0.9 FTE


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to be part of our talented interdisciplinary teams within our rehabilitation wards. 


Gerontology and rehabilitation services are areas of practice that continues to grow and develop. We are looking for a talented nurse who can provide assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for the people with complex need in our Older Persons Health wards or in our Under 65 rehabilitation service. A strong knowledge base is essential to meeting the challenge of caring for patients with complex needs.  You will need to have high standards of competence and performance, and enjoy the challenge of moving patients toward independence by setting realistic goals and treatment plans.


This position will appeal to nurses who wish to specialise in gerontology and rehabilitation to assist older people to attain optimal function and health. This position will initially be based within our Older Persons Health ward, 6AT&R. A minimum of two years New Zealand clinical experience (preferably in an Older Persons Health environment) is essential.  Previous Acute care nursing would be an advantage.
