An exciting opportunity!


The SDHB is looking for an Enrolled Nurse to join a highly motivated Nursing team in Ward 7c Dunedin Hospital.


Ward 7c is a 16 bed Cardiology / Renal ward accepting Acute and Chronic Cardiology patients and Acute and Chronic Haemodialysis / Peritoneal Dialysis patients from Waitaki to Bluff. The ward works closely with the Renal Unit and the Coronary Care Unit, it also has a 6 bed Day Unit attached that operates Monday till Friday 0700 till 1900 which accepts both Renal and Cardiology patients for elective procedures.


The successful applicant will have the support of a CNM a Cardiology Nurse Educator and Renal Nurse Educator a comprehensive orientation will be given


To be successful you will have the proven ability to work in a high output area, be highly organised and have a systematic approach to your work, be a team player able to work with all members of the multidisciplinary team, able to use your initiative and have the ability and confidence to practice both autonomously and collaboratively and without direct supervision You will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality processes; and to best practice.
