Integral to our commitment to creating a high performing organisation and ensuring we achieve our organisational objectives, an HR Manager to lead our HR Team of Advisors and Coordinators, is required. These are exciting and challenging times within the DHB and this is the opportune moment to step into a role that enables you to bring out the best in, and further develop, your very capable and willing team as we provide proactive, timely and professional HR support, advice and services to managers and staff.
Your mandate is broad, and includes building and maintaining positive relationships with our Unions and staff; stakeholder engagement to enable the management of HR and employment relations issues through timely advice; following policy and legislative requirements and ensuring issues are resolved appropriately. You’ll also take a lead role in negotiations on individual and collective bargaining and actively participate in bargaining teams, providing support to the development of Collective and IEA strategy locally and nationally. In addition you’ll implement efficient HR systems, metrics and tools which support managers and staff, and take the lead on supporting departmental training and coaching to keep us relevant in our practice.
It is essential that your qualifications and/or recent and relevant experience have provided you with the skillset to take on this role. 8+ years of Senior Human Resource Advisory or Management experience, proven experience in leading a team in best practice, proven experience in industrial relations, remuneration and negotiation, and more as detailed in the position description attached.
