Electro Convulsive Therapy (ECT) Coordinator - Mental Health for Older People  (Ward 6C)

Dunedin Hospital

 

  • Permanent, part time – 0.55 FTE (22 Hours per week)

 

Mental Health for Older People (Ward 6C) has an opportunity for an Electro Compulsive Therapy (ECT) Coordinator to join the team. You will be responsible for coordination of all aspects of the ECT treatment ensuring safe and consistent care prior, during and after Electro Convulsive Therapy.

 

Experience working in mental health is essential, and you’ll be working closely with administration and anaesthetic staff ensuring the coordination of inpatient and outpatient treatments, bookings and follow up appointments. 

 

We are seeking someone who is organised, empathetic, responsive and highly attuned to the emotions and needs of people with mental health needs. You will have a high level of communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to achieving excellent outcomes for patients.

 

This position requires you to be New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current APC.
