Social Worker – Community Day Programmes
- Permanent, 0.8 FTE (32 Hours per week)
We currently have an opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic Social Worker to join the team at Community Programmes in a part-time, permanent capacity. Community Programmes is a mental health service based at Dunedin Hospital providing recovery focused group programmes for adults with a wide range of moderate to severe mental health issues, living within the community.

In this role you will plan, implement and co-facilitate activity and therapy groups for community clients who attend the service at Dunedin Hospital base. You will provide quality Mental Health care with responsiveness and professionalism.
You will bring to this role, well-developed communication skills, proven group planning and facilitation skills and proven effective organisation and time management skills.
As a qualified Social Worker, you will have proven experience within a Mental Health setting and have experience of working in a group program or a strong desire to do so. You will have sound skills in Social Worker assessment, treatment planning, implementation and evaluation. You must be able to gain New Zealand social work registration within 6 months of appointment.
