Pressure Injury Prevention Programme Coordinator
Dunedin based – District wide focus

- 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)
The Quality and Performance team of the Southern DHB is focused on providing performance improvements and solutions, to support efficiencies and improve the journey for both patients and staff alike. Funding has now been granted for a new role (Fixed term for two years) to join this high-preforming team, to plan and implement sustainable improvement activities targeting the six guiding principles of the ACC Pressure Injury Prevention and Management guide.
As the Pressure Injury Prevention Programme Coordinator, you will work across the District, taking a ‘whole of system’ approach aiming to reduce pressure injury patient harm. You will drive the implementation of the ACC ‘guiding principles’ across the whole health system, ensuring a sustainable pressure injury prevention culture. You will be an excellent relationship builder with communication skills to match, you will be able to engage stakeholders at all levels in order to achieve deliverables in your role.
To be considered for this position, you will need to be a New Zealand Registered Health Care Professional, with a post-graduate qualification, ideally in wound care or a related field. Project Management qualifications and experience are also highly desirable, as is prior experience in delivering and successfully implementing quality improvement initiatives. You will be computer literate, with excellent communication and presentation skills and have a high level of attention to detail.
