Description

Physiotherapist-Cardiorespiratory

Dunedin Hospital

  • Fulltime permanent role

This position involves working within a dynamic inpatient multi-disciplinary team alongside experienced and developing physiotherapists within an acute hospital setting based at Dunedin Hospital.  This position is based in the cardiorespiratory team covering the surgical wards, HDU and offering cover with colleagues to the inpatient paediatric ward.

You will promote patient recovery while having the opportunity to engage in on-going professional development and expertise and will have the opportunity to work with students and new graduates.

Ideally you will bring to us 3 years physiotherapy experience that includes working in an acute inpatient setting, particularly respiratory or surgery.  However, if you have recent hospital based experience and an interest in moving into the inpatient physiotherapy area, we would also love to hear from you.

In addition to the experience you bring us, you will have enthusiasm and a willingness to commit to our team and patients. It will be an expectation that you will be active in service quality initiatives, so you will have a proactive and quality driven attitude.

This is a permanent role which requires weekend and on-call roster work and you will need to be a New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist with a current annual practicing certificate.
