Registered Nurse – North Community Mental Health Team

Dunedin

 

  • 12 month parental leave cover
  • 1.0FTE, 40 hours per week

We have a vacancy for a Registered Nurse with experience working with patients with serious mental illness in a community setting.  Within this position you will be responsible for case managing up to 30 cases, assessing, maintaining and managing clinical risk and crisis work.

 

You will have previously demonstrated a commitment to best practice standards and your model of practice will be inclusive of the seven Real Skills of Let’s get real (www.tepou.co.nz).  You will also hold a strong sense of ‘self’, a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a commitment to working cohesively in a large and dynamic multidisciplinary team.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the North Community Mental Health Team on a fixed term basis whilst gaining experience working in a community setting. To be successful in this role you will have community and / or recent acute inpatient experience and the ability to meet the demands of a busy workload to a high standard.

 

To be eligible to apply you must be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and have a current and valid APC and clean driver’s license.
