An exciting opportunity is currently available in the senior leadership team within Southern DHB.
The role of Director of Allied Health-Mental Health, Addictions & Intellectual Disability (MHAID) is part of our senior leadership team, Specialist Services and exists to provide strategic and operational allied health leadership from a professional perspective as well as providing advice to General Managers and clinicians in the clinician management partnership.
Reporting to the GM Mental Health, this role provides opportunity to positively work with and support allied health units across Southern DHB operate effectively on a day to day basis partnering with other professional leadership as well as service management roles to optimise the effective and efficient running of the services.
Demonstrated prior success in a senior leadership role is essential as is an up to date knowledge of professional practice issues, and extensive experience in and knowledge of health sector. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organisation – fostering an environment where the people within our organisation work actively together to promote an optimum patient experience.
The team you will work with is strong and supportive, working with the philosophy that each member contributes to the success of the team.
It is essential that you are registered with a relevant allied health professional body of New Zealand or where registration is not available a member of their respective professional association.
