Dental Therapists/Oral Health Therapists
Oral Health Service
- Fulltime, part-time, permanent and fixed-term positions
We have a variety of opportunities available for Registered Dental Therapists/Oral Health Therapists to work as part of our Community Oral Health Service covering the wider Southern DHB District.
These positions are based across the Southern District and we have a number of different opportunities, both full time, part time, permanent and fixed term.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining the Oral Health of children in our clinics, educating children and their families on Oral Health and the prevention of Oral Health disease. You will recognise, diagnose and treat oral abnormalities and disease and where appropriate refer children for further treatment.
You will work alongside a Dental Assistant as part of a wider team who is committed to delivering quality health services.
You should have a natural empathy for children and have excellent communication skills.
To be considered for any of these roles you must be registered with the Dental Council of New Zealand as a Dental Therapist/Oral Health Therapist and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate.
You will need to have the flexibility to be able to cover rostered evening shifts. You will also need to be able to work in other clinics throughout the District; on occasion this may see you staying away overnight.
You will also need to hold a full clean NZ Driver’s Licence.
Please specify in your covering letter what hours of work, and which locations you would like your application to be considered for. New Graduates are welcome to apply.
Closing Date: Sunday 18th March 2018
