Southland Hospital is one of the newest Hospital’s in the South Island of New Zealand, providing modern and easily accessible facilities for staff and patients alone. Southland Hospital is the base hospital for a wide geographical area, creating enormous scope for variety in the work of a talented professional like you. We are looking for an experienced Otolaryngologist to join us on a fixed term basis, between 6 months and a year in a generalist position with an on-call responsibilities. You will be the sole ENT practitioner on site at Southland Hospital, you will be supported from the clinical leader and colleagues from Dunedin Hospital, who also undertake clinics at Southland Hospital You will see the full range of patients in this role and perform a variety of procedures such as endoscopic sinus surgery, middle ear surgery, facial skin cancer surgery and paediatric ENT procedures, all major head & neck surgery is currently carried out at Dunedin Hospital.

You must have completed your specialist training to make you eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. An attractive remuneration package, relocation assistance and CME allowance. However you unwind do it here.
Candidates who are not currently registered with the New Zealand Medical Council should be aware that from 1 November 2017 it will be the requirement of the NZ Medical Council that your qualifications are approved through EPIC. If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible so as to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion.
