Recruitment Coordinator – Senior Medical Officers (SMO)

Dunedin based

 

  • Full Time – Permanent Position

     

    How many balls can you juggle at once, keeping them off the floor?

     

    This is a busy, new role where you’ll put your outstanding time management skills to use juggling many tasks and priorities at once. This position has been created to provide support for our newly recruited senior doctors, to help them with gaining professional registration, visas, and relocation to the site they’ll be based at.

    Based within our recruitment team, you will form a close partnership with our Recruitment Advisor – SMO, and work with senior doctors, managers and administrators to engage and secure new talent for the Southern DHB.

     

    You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the Southern DHB recruitment processes are always followed including monitoring and following the progress of candidate’s through their Medical Council New Zealand and DHB legal requirements, whilst ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

     

    This role is responsible for a high level of administration, tracking of candidates through the recruitment process and maintaining up to date files on each candidate to be able to keep ahead of workload required. Developing rapport with potential and new employees ensuring that all enquiries are promptly followed up, and any potential issues are overcome.

     

    We’re looking for our process driven, administrative super star! Who can always find their way around a problem, who has a logical approach but isn’t scared to ask questions and uses initiative. You’ll be able to quickly build rapport across all levels of an organisation, thrive on daily challenges and ensure you get the ultimate result.
