Occupational Therapist – Community Mental Health Team, Invercargill
Full time, 40 hours per week, permanent
We need a suitably qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to fill this role working within Community Mental Health Team. If you have experience in the provision of psychotherapy/counselling on an individual or group basis and you’re passionate with an unwavering belief in people’s recovery - then you might just be the one for us!
Joining our multi-disciplinary team of Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Registered Nurses and Social Workers, you’ll work with a broad-based generic caseload, utilising your mental health experience with excellent assessment and intervention skills helping to facilitate patient transition from MHU to the Community department. As someone committed to the MDT approach with a focus on excellent service delivery, you’ll also appreciate that we offer ongoing tailored professional development specific to our Mental Health team.
To be eligible to be considered for this role, you must hold Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand, and have a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
