Mental Health Professional –Community Drug and Alcohol Service (CADS) Wakari Hospital
- Permanent, part time (24 hours per week 0.6 FTE, hours per day negotiable)

About the role:
As part of this dedicated team you’ll have your own case load of clients receiving Opioid Substitution Treatment who are under the General Practitioner Authority (GPA) Branch of the Opioid Substitution Treatment (OST) programme, this will be the main role of the position. There will also be the possibility, and at times expectation of providing new assessments, walk-in clinics and the opportunity to co-facilitate therapeutic groups.
You’ll have regular contact with General Practitioners, DHB Mental Health Services and external NGO’s, so you must be an excellent communicator who is adept at interacting with your clients, colleagues and external organisations, always striving to ensure the best results.
You will be a Registered Mental Health Professional (Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or DAPAANZ registered clinician. It is desirable that you hold appropriate addiction specific qualifications.
You will bring to this role a solid understanding of addiction issues and experience in working with clients with co-existing-problems (CEP) and you’ll be able to demonstrate strength in assessment, treatment planning, documentation and collaborative decision making.
