Registered Nurse – Emergency Psychiatric Services

Dunedin Hospital


  • Permanent, part-time (0.9FTE, 36  hours per week)


Emergency Psychiatric Services are currently looking for a Registered Nurse to join their team on a permanent, part-time basis.


As a registered nurse with recent experience working in mental health you will be able to put your knowledge and skills to good use assisting the team to provide emergency mental health assessments.


You must be resilient and flexible as this is an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity to become part of the team at the Emergency Psychiatric Service.


Some acute ward experience or community crisis experience would be preferable for this position.


All employees of the Southern District Health Board working with in mental health and addiction services are expected to demonstrate a commitment to  “The Seven Real Skills” (Te Pou Workforce Development, see


Please note you must be registered with the New Zealand Nursing Council under a scope of practice that allows you to practice in Mental Health, and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate to be considered for this position.
