Mental Health Professional – Mental Health Unit Dunstan
FTE 0.7, 28 hours per week
We are actively recruiting for a Registered Mental Health Professional to be part of our Central Lakes Adult Community Mental Health Team, based near Queenstown, the adventure capital of New Zealand.
If you enjoy the outdoors and are a registered New Zealand Health Professional or are eligible to become registered, with a current annual practicing certificate, this is the job for you.
The position can be undertaken by a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist. You will be required to obtain Duly Authorised Officer status within the first 3-6 months of employment and participate on an after-hours on call roster. A current, full driver’s licence is essential.
To be successful within our multi- disciplinary team you’ll bring:
- An ability to work with a diverse range of people with moderate to severe mental health issues
- Excellent assessment, intervention/therapy and transition planning skills for adult consumers
- An ability to work under pressure as a team player committed to excellence in service delivery
