The Waitaki Community Mental Health Service is a Multi-Disciplinary Team that services the North Otago District. It provides support to Child and Youth, Alcohol and Drug, Adult and Elderly services along with an after-hours on call crisis service.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with experience of working with patients with mental illness or with an interest in developing this in a community setting to join our team on a part-time 20 hour a week basis.  The successful applicant would also be available to cover out of hours on call Duly Authorized Officer or the second health professional role as and when required.

With a multitude of services, you will enjoy variety within the Mental health sector allowing you to advance your skillset while working in our beautiful community and emerging yourself in a rewarding career. Located in Oamaru, you will have the benefit of being between both Canterbury and Otago that you can enjoy with this part time role, alongside the great community right on your doorstep.

Although experience in mental health sector is highly regarded applicants with a key interest for community mental health will also be considered.

This is an exciting opportunity for registered nurses to work within a well-established, experienced team that works collaboratively within a rural community.
