Consultant Psychiatrist -1.0 FTE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Psychiatrist to work full time with our Adult Mental Health & Addictions Service from early July 2018. This position may involve a part inpatient and part community aspect
Applications are invited from Psychiatrists with either inpatient or community experience.
Fellowship with the RANZCP or the equivalent is essential and you must be eligible for registration with the NZ Medical Council.
Responsibilities will include assessment and treatment while working collaboratively with the primary health sector. You will have a strong commitment to service user and family / whanau inclusion in service delivery and a focus on recovery as well as having a sound understanding of and commitment to biculturalism.
A personal commitment to maintaining high standards of practice and full participation in team functioning is pivotal to the position.
Providing clinical leadership and medical input to the multi-disciplinary team is essential
