About the role

As the Supply Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of seven Dunedin Hospital based Supply and Logistics Officers. Your team’s primary function is to maintain a reliable and responsive supply service: right supplies, right place, right time – pivotal to enabling the DHB to deliver all clinical and non-clinical services.


About you


You will be an experienced leader, who understands supply chain, has ERP/ MRP systems experience and who will enjoy the challenge of further developing a functional, cohesive and high performing team.


A large part of your role will involve liaising with internal and external stakeholders and so a customer service ethos, and excellent communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills will be critical to your success.


Personally, you’ll be able to cope well under pressure, with the ability to prioritise, trouble-shoot and make quick decisions when necessary.  You should be self- motivated, innovative, professional, willing to learn and be someone who embodies the Southern DHB values in all that you do.


You will come to us with solid, relevant experience in a supervisory role and be used to working both autonomously and within a team, and be able to follow DHB systems and policies.
