  • Permanent, 1 FTE (40 Hours per week)

 

Southland Hospital, rebuilt in 2004, is a state-of-the-art facility that provides healthcare to a population of 105,000. Located in the lower South Island, Southland offers a wide range of recreational activities. It is home to two of New Zealand’s national parks offering opportunities for tramping, internationally acclaimed fishing and a wide range of outdoor pursuits. Four ski fields are within easy driving distance.

Southland Hospital is the base hospital for a wide geographical area, creating enormous scope for variety in the work of a talented professional like you. And with our state-of-the-art hospital, together with the latest in PACS digital radiology, MRI, CT and iSOFT patient management system, there's no better place to take a leading role in maintaining and enhancing our Ophthalmology service, while taking the initiative in developing new ones. Ideally we would like an Ophthalmologist with an interest in Paediatric Ophthalmology to join our team.
