Registered Nurse – Ward 9a Inpatient Forensic

Wakari Hospital

  • Registered Nurse fixed-term, part-time (0.8 FTE) – to 22 April 2019

We have a Registered Nursing opportunity within our Forensic Ward at Wakari Hospital.

In this role you will be working in a secure environment predominantly with patients referred from the courts and/or prison setting for assessment and/or treatment. Increasingly we provide a rehabilitative role in assisting patients with complex needs to reintegrate into the community. You will work alongside a dynamic and committed multidisciplinary team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse with experience of working in the mental health sector, and a current NZ Annual Practising Certificate. We provide good orientation to the position and will support your ongoing professional development needs.

So, if you want to make a difference and hold a positive attitude to your work and others, and you’re ready to experience all the wonderful side benefits of living and working in Dunedin (if you don’t already) then we encourage you to apply.
