Registered Nurse – Perioperative Services (Recovery)

We are looking for an experienced recovery nurse with a “can do”, positive attitude to join our Perioperative Service in our Recovery service based in Southland Hospital. Our service presents a busy environment, one that is navigated on a daily basis through a team based model of care, so it is essential you have a kind nature and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing clinical situations. Recent Perioperative nursing experience and sound clinical skills are essential, and recent, relevant PACU experience is critical in ensuring the patient journey is a smooth one. You’ll have access to ongoing professional development and given the wide geographical area the hospital covers, there will be many opportunities for variety in your work which lends itself to both your professional and personal development.
You’ll find our team efficient, friendly and professional – completely focussed on patient outcomes. While this role is primarily based in Recovery, you should apply with understanding that you may be required to assist elsewhere in Perioperative as and when needed to ensure smooth running of our service.

Please note that due to urgent service need we can only accept applications from Registered Nurses who hold a valid NZ work visa or have the right to live and work in NZ with at least 2 years of recent Perioperative nursing experience.
