Dental Assistant – Community Oral Health Service

Preferably, you'll bring to us previous experience as a Dental Assistant, but this is not essential as we will train you if you present with the knowledge and skills required. You will be assisting the Dental Therapist/Dentist manage the day to day requirements of the clinic. You’ll be a people person and have a great rapport with children/adults and excellent customer service will come to you naturally.
You'll have a pleasant telephone manner, strong administration skills and an awareness of the need for confidentiality of patient records and information. As part of a large supportive team you will enjoy the flexibility and diversity this role offers.
You will need to be organised and available to work between the hours of 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and at times be able to undertake to assist in clinics elsewhere within the Southern DHB. We anticipate you will start in this role early January 2019.
