Service Administrator – General Surgery, Orthopaedics & Plastics

We are looking for an experienced and confident administrator to support the Service Manager and wider General Surgery, Orthopaedics & Plastics Services Team based at Dunedin Hospital. This is a role that will provide an opportunity to demonstrate outstanding coordination skills, your ability to work autonomously and also use your initiative. Reporting to the Service Manager and working closely alongside another Service Administrator, this position is fundamental to the cohesive and efficient running of the service delivery across the board. This opportunity has all the elements of an interesting, sometimes challenging, but overall rewarding role. The main objective is to provide essential support for the Service Manager and overall functioning of the General Surgery, Orthopaedics & Plastics service by providing an efficient and timely administrative support function that is responsive and flexible to the changing needs of the service/organisation.
Key accountabilities of the role include a huge variety of important tasks, including supporting Senior Medical Officers, coordinating and managing complaints, managing diaries, timesheets, booking meetings and travel, taking minutes, organising agendas, coordinating and processing reports, and compiling statistics, staff recruitment and on boarding plus general administration and support for the other Service Administrator and wider team.

The salary for this position is between $43,580 and $51,259 per annum and will be based on relevant experience and qualifications.
